The VILLA GODESBERG is located in South Bonn, in the wonderful district of Bad Godesberg, formerly the spa resort of prince elector Max Franz, later the summer residence of wealthy citizens in palatial villas and more recently the site of many international embassies and residences.
As a result of the government move to Berlin, many villas have now returned to private ownership.

The Mirbachstraße was probably named after the Prussian Lord Chamberlain Ernst Freiherr von Mirbach who was instrumental in Emperor William II giving the Godesburg to Godesberg in 1891.

Over the past few years, Bonn has undergone enormous structural change following the move of the parliament and government. Since 1996 Bonn has been a UN city. 16 United Nations departments have their registered office in the former government quarter.

Global groups, such as the Telecom, SolarWorld, DHL, Post and Haribo, to name but a few, define the economic life of our city.

The entire Bonn region has also become an internationally recognised scientific, educational and research location, headed by the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität which has particular strengths in research.

In addition, institutions such as the cerebral research centre Life & Brain, the Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (B-IT), the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the caesar research centre have decided to settle here.

Furthermore, the Bonn region offers a diverse range of picturesque landscapes as well as cultural and leisure activities. The Rhine meanders through Bonn and Bad Godesberg, with inviting hiking and cycling paths, while the white fleet of boats tempts you to take a trip along the Siebengebirge. Museums, the Art and Exhibition Hall, Beethoven House, Haus der Geschichte (House of History) and much more besides await you on your cultural tour of the city. Numerous restaurants and inns look forward to the opportunity to welcome you as their guest.
